The large diameter spring on this cable held firmly when I installed it—no slipping at all. My old brake felt spongy, but now the pedal response is immediate and solid. Fits the 1989 Marathon perfectly with no modification needed.

The 36.25-inch length was exactly what I needed to replace the old cable on my '89 Marathon, and the large diameter spring holds securely against the brake drum. Pedal feel is solid and responsive now.
